A modular approach to unify an email system

Expedia updated their website with a new cleaner design language, but their customer-facing emails were lagging far behind. Customers also received a mix of different email templates that were out of sync with the brand—and with other emails sent by marketing, itinerary, or loyalty teams to the same customers.

Our solution was to create a unified system of templates and independent modules that could be used for a variety of needs.
