An engagement ring is a high-stakes purchase. Giving buyers the sense of confidence and trust they need to buy one online requires a special touch. Ritani wanted a site that provided a premium ecommerce experience with an innate sense of quality and service. We drew on our deep ecommerce experience to deliver an intuitive design that educates users and shepherds them through the decision and sales process. Buyers can learn about trends, create custom combinations of stones and settings, and even view individual stones in a live screen-sharing consultation with a certified gemologist called “The Virtual Gemologist”.
Taking the online experience in store
Building on the success and momentum of their ecommerce site, Ritani wanted to provide a differentiated in-store experience for their customers. One of the unique features of the Ritani service is the ability for a customer to try on a ring in-person at a partner retailer. Our custom iPad application enabled customers to not only read reviews for each ring, but also see an endless combination of different diamond shapes, sizes, and metals. This bricks and clicks experience provided all of the advantages of the online experience with none of the drawbacks.
